Instagram has no text-only posts. Attach a JPEG under 8 MB or the post cannot go out.
Single photos only for now
No Reels, Stories, videos, or carousels yet. Occasely publishes one image with a caption per post.
Direct sign-in expires in about 60 days
Direct Instagram login tokens last roughly 60 days, then you reconnect. Connecting through a Facebook Page does not expire.

Do I need a Facebook Page to connect Instagram?
No. Sign in with your Instagram Business or Creator account directly. If you prefer, connecting a Facebook Page also brings along any linked Instagram account, and that route never expires.
What exactly gets published to Instagram?
A single photo with a caption, posted through Instagram's official API. Captions are trimmed to 2200 characters and the image should be a JPEG under 8 MB.
Can it post Reels, Stories, or videos?
