You create a free bot with @BotFather and add it as your channel's administrator with post permission. Occasely posts only through your bot.
Channels only
Publishing works for Telegram channels, not groups or private chats.
Caption and link limits
Photo captions are cut at 1,024 characters and text posts at 4,096. Private channels don't get a shareable post link.

Do I have to give Occasely my Telegram password?
No. You make a free bot with @BotFather, add it as your channel admin, and paste its token into Occasely. The token is encrypted and never shown again. Your personal account stays untouched.
What exactly gets published?
A text announcement, or one photo with a caption, sent by your bot to the channel you connected at the time you choose. Captions stop at 1,024 characters, text posts at 4,096.
Can I post to a Telegram group?
Not yet. Occasely publishes to channels your bot administers. Groups and private chats aren't supported, and if the bot loses admin rights you'll see a clear message asking you to re-add it.
