Occasely for Threads
Threads posts that sound like a person, not a brand
Occasely writes the casual, conversational version of your occasion post for Threads and publishes it on schedule, with or without an image.
Text or image posts, published for real
Scheduled posts go out through Meta's official Threads API. Unlike Instagram, Threads takes text-only posts, so a quick update needs no photo at all.
Written for a conversational feed
The Threads version of your brief is looser and more personal than the Instagram one, and it skips the hashtag wall — hashtags barely do anything here, so Occasely uses at most one.
On the same calendar as everything else
Threads publishes alongside Instagram, Facebook, Google Business, LinkedIn, Telegram and X, with the same retries, the same failure reasons and a link to each live post.
Written for Threads, not pasted into it
The AI follows Threads's own rules every time it writes:
- Write like you're talking to people who already follow you.
- Short paragraphs, plain words, no marketing throat-clearing.
- One hashtag at most — usually none.
- Stay under 500 characters, which is Threads' limit.
Winter menu is up at the cafe from Friday. Three soups, the cinnamon bun everyone asked us to bring back, and filter coffee that is finally hot enough for this weather. Come early, the buns go first.

Worth knowing before you connect
Connections last about 60 days
Meta's Threads tokens expire roughly every 60 days. Occasely warns you before yours lapses, but you do have to reconnect — the same as LinkedIn.
One post, one image
A single post with at most one photo. No carousels, no video, no replies and no scheduling into an existing thread.
500 characters is a hard stop
An over-long post is rejected before it reaches Threads, with the character count in the failure reason, rather than published cut off.
Questions shop owners ask
Do I need a photo to post to Threads?
No. Threads accepts text-only posts, so unlike Instagram you can schedule an update with nothing attached. You can still add one image if you want.
Do I need an Instagram account?
You need a Threads profile, which is created from an Instagram account. Connecting Threads to Occasely is its own step though — connecting Instagram does not connect Threads.
Why so few hashtags?
Because they do very little on Threads. Copying an Instagram hashtag block over would make the post read like an ad without helping anyone find it, so Occasely writes at most one.
How often will I have to reconnect?
About every 60 days, which is Meta's token lifetime for Threads. Occasely emails you before the connection lapses so scheduled posts don't fail silently.
