Removing Occasely from Facebook or Instagram

If you connected a Facebook Page or an Instagram account to Occasely, you can remove Occasely’s access and ask for the data to be deleted from Facebook or Instagram itself:

• Facebook:Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → find Occasely → Remove, and tick the option to delete the data Occasely received.
• Instagram: Settings → Website permissions (or Apps and websites) → find Occasely → Remove.

When you remove Occasely, we stop using that connection straight away: its access tokens are deleted and scheduled posts to it will not publish. When you also ask for your data to be deleted, Facebook sends us that request with a confirmation code, and we erase:

• the access tokens for every Page and Instagram account you connected;
• the Instagram comments, direct messages, contacts and conversation history that Occasely Engage stored for those accounts;
• the raw event deliveries we received from Instagram for them;
• the account names, pictures and IDs we stored for those connections.

The posts you wrote in Occasely stay in your workspace, and any automations you set up are paused. Delete them from Occasely, or delete your account as described below, to remove them too.

Disconnecting a channel inside Occasely

On the Connections page, choose Disconnect next to any channel. Its access token is deleted immediately. Publishing history stays in your workspace until you delete your account.

Deleting your Occasely account

In Settings, under Your account → Danger zone, choose Delete my account. Your account is scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days, as described in section 4 of our Privacy Policy. After that, your brand profile, social tokens, posts, uploaded media and Instagram conversations are destroyed, except records the law requires us to keep, such as billing records for tax.

You can also email hello@occasely.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete your data. We will confirm by email once it is done.
