Occasely vs RecurPost
RecurPost is built to keep an evergreen library circulating. Occasely is built for the dated stuff — Diwali, Black Friday, Eid — where a post that lands a week late is worth nothing.
The short answer
RecurPost solves a real problem. You have content that stays true all year — tips, listings, testimonials, quotes — and it should keep going out without you touching it. Libraries, categories, repeating slots: that machine works, and it has been built and iterated on for years by a bootstrapped team out of Surat. Occasely solves a different problem. Occasions are not evergreen. A Diwali arc has to run for three weeks and then stop. A Black Friday teaser is worthless on the Saturday. You name the occasion and Occasely plans the whole arc — teaser, build-up, offer, last day — writes every post for each platform's rules, and dates them on the calendar. The trade-off is real and it runs both ways. When we checked their pricing page in July 2026, RecurPost published rupee prices, listed more networks than we do, and had added Instagram DM automation the year before. Occasely is in private beta, publishes to nine channels, and reports delivery only — published, queued, failed — with no reach, engagement or follower data at all. If what you need is a scheduler with a long track record and a recycling engine, they have one and we don't. If your year is really a run of occasions, that is the entire thing we build.
What RecurPost is genuinely good at
Recycling is the whole point, not a bolt-on
Evergreen libraries are what RecurPost was built around: group content into libraries, set repeating slots, and the same good post keeps coming back around. Occasely has no recycling queue at all. If your calendar is mostly content that never expires, that single feature can be the whole decision.
A wider network list
When we checked, RecurPost published to Facebook pages and groups, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, YouTube, TikTok, Threads and Bluesky. That is a longer list than Occasely's nine, and three of those networks — TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest — are ones we do not support in any form. We go the other way on Telegram and Discord, which is thin consolation if short video is where your customers are.
Cheap to start, and priced in rupees
At the time we researched this, RecurPost listed dual USD and INR pricing: Starter at $9 or ₹700 a month for 2 profiles, Personal at $25 or ₹2,000 for 5, Agency at $79 or ₹6,700 for 20 with workspaces and approvals, plus a 14-day trial and a 30-day money-back window. Prices move, so check their page, but a published INR tier is a genuine advantage for an Indian buyer.
Users like the support, and the DMs keep flowing
Capterra reviewers rated it 4.7 out of 5 across 169 reviews when we looked, praising the recycling, the support and the value for money. RecurPost also added Instagram DM automation in 2025 — inbox work that Occasely does not do at all.
Where Occasely is the better fit
Occasions get an arc, not a slot
Name an occasion and Occasely plans a multi-post campaign: teaser, build-up, offer, last-day push. Every post is written and dated before you approve anything. A recycling library cannot do this, because the whole value of a Diwali or Black Friday post is that it runs once, in a specific window, and then stops.
One voice across a whole arc
18+ language styles chosen at the workspace level, so an entire occasion arc comes back in one voice — Hinglish, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Spanish, Arabic or Portuguese, not a teaser in one register and a last-day push in another. The occasions engine is global too, with a public calendar at /tools/occasion-calendar you can read before signing up for anything.
Google review replies with a human in the loop
Occasely syncs your Google Business reviews, drafts a reply in your own voice, and waits for you to approve it before anything publishes. For a local business, replying to reviews is recurring work that actually moves customers, and it is separate from posting.
Every publish attempt is on the record
Reviewers of RecurPost on Capterra flagged profiles needing reconnection; token expiry is the standard failure mode across this whole category, ours included. What we do about it is log every attempt with a plain-English reason and retry it, so a post that did not go out says why instead of quietly vanishing.
Side by side
| Dimension | Occasely | RecurPost |
|---|---|---|
| What the tool is for | Planning a dated occasion arc: teaser, build-up, offer, last day, every post written. | Keeping an evergreen library in rotation: libraries, categories, repeating slots. |
| Networks | Nine: Instagram, Facebook, Google Business, LinkedIn profiles, Telegram, X, Threads, Bluesky, Discord. | Longer list when we checked, including TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest. |
| Pricing shape | Free tier, then $19 or $39 a month flat — Growth connects six channels, Pro twelve. No per-profile add-on. | Per-profile tiers, from $9 or ₹700 for 2 profiles when we checked in July 2026. |
| AI | Unlimited text on paid plans. Images metered by credits, with the count shown. | AI writing assistant plus AI image generation; per-plan AI limits not published. |

When to pick RecurPost instead
- Your content is evergreen. If the job is keeping tips, listings, quotes or testimonials in permanent rotation, RecurPost's libraries are exactly that product and Occasely has no recycling queue to offer you.
- You publish to TikTok, YouTube or Pinterest. RecurPost supported all three when we checked; Occasely supports none of them, and there is no workaround.
- You want rupee prices on the invoice. RecurPost listed INR tiers from ₹700 a month for 2 profiles at the time we researched this. Occasely charges in USD worldwide, with Dodo Payments as the merchant of record adding your local GST or VAT at checkout.
If the occasion is the part you keep missing
Describe your business once. Occasely plans the arc for every occasion that matters to it, writes each post for the channel it is going to, and holds the queue until you approve.
Questions
- Can Occasely recycle evergreen posts like RecurPost does?
- No. There is no evergreen library and no repeating queue in Occasely today. We plan campaigns around dated occasions and write fresh posts for each one. If recycling is the reason you are shopping, RecurPost is the better fit and we would rather say so now.
- Which channels does Occasely publish to?
- Nine: Instagram, Facebook, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn (personal profiles, not Pages), Telegram, X, Threads, Bluesky and Discord. Discord goes through a channel webhook, so those posts have no permalink back to them. Not TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, Mastodon, Snapchat or WhatsApp. RecurPost's list was longer when we checked, and it included three networks we do not support: TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest.
- Is Occasely cheaper than RecurPost?
- It depends on how many profiles you run. When we checked their pricing in July 2026, RecurPost started at $9 or ₹700 a month for 2 profiles, with extra profiles charged individually and larger tiers above. Occasely has a free tier, then Growth at $19 a month for 6 channels and Pro at $39 for 12, with no per-seat and no per-channel pricing. Annual is ten months' price. Their prices may have changed since; check their page.
- How do the analytics compare?
- This is our clearest gap, so here it is plainly. Occasely reports delivery only: published, queued or failed, per network, with a readable reason when something fails. There is no follower growth, no engagement, no reach and no impressions data. If reporting is what you are buying, evaluate RecurPost's own analytics directly and do not take our word for it.
- Could I use both?
- Yes. Keep the evergreen library recycling wherever it already lives, and use Occasely for the dated campaigns — Diwali, Ramadan, Black Friday, Christmas — where the posts have to be planned in an arc and land on specific days. Occasely is in private beta, and occasion campaigns are a Growth feature at $19 a month: the free tier writes individual posts but cannot run a campaign, so test on Growth if the campaign is the thing you are judging.
