Occasely vs SocialPilot
SocialPilot is an agency cockpit: many client accounts, ten networks, approvals and white-label reports. Occasely is for the owner with no agency: give it an occasion and the campaign comes back planned and dated.
The short answer
SocialPilot and Occasely are solving different halves of the same job. SocialPilot, built in Ahmedabad since 2014 and acquired by group.one in July 2025, is a mature scheduler for people who already know what they want to post and need it out across a lot of accounts, on a lot of networks, with a client signing off first. Occasely is for the owner who has no agency and no content plan: you name the occasion — Diwali, Black Friday, Eid, Christmas — and it plans the arc, writes the teaser, the build-up, the offer and the last-day push, and dates every post. If your bottleneck is distribution and client workflow, SocialPilot is the better-fitted tool and has years of production use behind it. If your bottleneck is the blank page every festival season, that is the part we built. Occasely is pre-launch and in private beta; SocialPilot is not, and that difference is real.
What SocialPilot is genuinely good at
More networks, including three we do not publish to
Their integrations list, when we researched it in July 2026, covered Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile and Bluesky. Occasely publishes to nine channels and overlaps with seven of theirs; TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest are the three we do not have. If your audience lives on any of those, Occasely publishes to none of them.
Built for client work
Their higher tier adds more users, client approvals and white-label reports, and their enterprise tier adds SSO and API access. Occasely has none of that: one workspace, one owner, no approval queue, no client-facing report. Agencies were SocialPilot's market from the start and the product shows it.
Real analytics, where ours stop at delivery
SocialPilot reports on posts and accounts and can package that into white-label reports for clients. Occasely's analytics are delivery only — published, queued, failed, per network. We do not collect follower growth, engagement, reach or impressions at all. That is a genuine gap, not a positioning difference.
A decade of production use
Founded in 2014, bootstrapped to roughly $10M ARR, and acquired by Sweden's group.one in July 2025. Reviewers on G2 rate it 4.5 out of 5 across 841 reviews, mostly for ease of use and scheduling. Occasely is a private beta with no such track record, and you should weigh that.
Where Occasely is the better fit
The occasion is the brief
SocialPilot gives you a calendar and a composer; deciding what goes in each slot is still your evening. Occasely takes the occasion as the input and returns the whole arc: teaser, build-up, offer, last day — every post written, every post dated, ready to edit. SocialPilot hands you the slot. We fill it before you open it.
Unlimited writing, and images that come with it
SocialPilot's AI Pilot generates posts, tunes tone and adds hashtags, metered by credits — 1,000 on the entry tier and 5,000 on the higher one when we checked their India pricing in July 2026 — and we found no AI image generation in the product. Occasely writes unlimited text on paid plans and generates images in Creative Studio, with credits metered on images only.
Eighteen-plus language styles, Hinglish included
Their AI Pilot listed ten languages when we researched it. Occasely writes in 18+ language styles — Hinglish, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese and more — in the voice a shop owner actually uses, not a word-for-word translation of an English caption.
Priced by plan, not by seat or channel
SocialPilot's tiers are counted in social accounts and users, with extra accounts and extra users billed on top. Occasely is Free, $19/mo Growth or $39/mo Pro, the same price wherever you sell, with every channel type open on any paid plan — Growth connects six at a time, Pro twelve — and annual billed at ten months' price. Dodo Payments sells it as merchant of record and puts your market's tax on the invoice.

When to pick SocialPilot instead
- You publish to TikTok, YouTube or Pinterest. Occasely does not support any of them, and we have no date to give you for when that changes.
- You run client work and need several users, an approval step before anything goes live, and white-label reports with your own branding on them. SocialPilot's higher tiers are built around exactly that; Occasely has no approvals, no seats and no client reporting.
- You are judged on reach, engagement or follower growth. Occasely does not collect that data at all — our analytics tell you whether a post went out, and nothing more.
If the occasion is the part you keep missing
Describe your business once. Occasely plans the arc for every occasion that matters to it, writes each post for the channel it is going to, and holds the queue until you approve.
Questions
- Is Occasely cheaper than SocialPilot?
- It depends where you are, and the honest answer is that it is close. When we researched SocialPilot's pricing in July 2026 it served INR pricing in India starting around ₹1,700–2,000/mo for its entry tier, which lands near Occasely Growth once converted. Third-party trackers listed a higher USD lineup, but a geo-lock stopped us verifying those figures directly, so treat them as unconfirmed. Occasely is Free, $19/mo or $39/mo in USD worldwide. Prices on both sides change; check theirs before you decide.
- Can I import my SocialPilot schedule into Occasely?
- No. There is no importer, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. You reconnect your channels in Occasely and rebuild the queue. The one thing that makes this less painful than it sounds is that you mostly do not rebuild post by post — you name the occasion and the campaign comes back written.
- Does Occasely publish to TikTok, YouTube or Pinterest?
- No. Occasely publishes to nine channels: Instagram, Facebook, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn personal profiles, Telegram, X, Threads, Bluesky and Discord. LinkedIn Company Pages are not supported yet either, and neither are Reddit, Snapchat, WhatsApp or Mastodon. One caveat on Discord: we post through a channel webhook, and a webhook reply does not carry a permalink back, so those posts show as delivered without a jump link. SocialPilot covered TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest when we researched it, so if those are core to you, it is the better tool.
- Will Occasely's analytics replace SocialPilot's reports?
- No. Occasely reports delivery only: published, queued or failed, per network, with a readable reason and a retry when something fails. There is no follower growth, no engagement, no reach, no impressions. SocialPilot reports on posts and accounts and can white-label that for clients. If reporting is the deliverable you get paid for, stay with them.
- What does occasion-first actually mean in practice?
- You pick an occasion from the calendar — Diwali, Black Friday, Eid, Christmas, or any of the ones at /tools/occasion-calendar — and Occasely returns a multi-post campaign: a teaser weeks out, build-up posts, the offer, the last-day push. Each post is written for the channel it is going to, in the language style you chose, and already placed on a date. You edit and approve rather than start from an empty box. Campaign generation starts on Growth; the free tier writes individual posts, not campaigns. Agents like Claude Code or Cursor can also queue drafts through our MCP server, though they cannot publish or spend an image credit.
